The conference will bring together researchers and other stakeholders from natural sciences, social science, economy, humanities, technology and related fields in an integrated way.

The conference will be a unique opportunity to discuss the major components of biodiversity and to discuss possible contributions of biodiversity conservation and management for achieving new targets.
Focus is on scientific reviewing current and future action in the field of the CBD and the MDGs.

The Senckenberg Museum in Frankfurt/Main is one of the largest Natural History Museums in Germany. It exhibits the recent biodiversity and evolution of life as well as their change of planet earth over millions of years.
